I have never used ASTassistant before so I have a few questions.

1. How can I enable the feature that allows me to screen a call before I tranfer it.  My Employer does not want calls to be blind transfer.  I am using Version 1.2.1.1 and from what the guy at Trixbox said my whole package is 2.6.2.3.

2. It keeps talking about using the new Betas. Once I download the beta how do I implement them in the program I am using?

Sorry for all these newbie questions but I am not sure how to use the utilize AST very well.

Thank you

...if so, any recommendations for a simple application to pop a parametized web URL on an incoming ring?

I don't need any other features - just a popup trigger.

Would it be possible to either create Icons in the queue section or use a different color scheme for the extension icons if that extension/user is part of a queue and signed in to a queue?  Similar to the HUD Pro is what I'm thinking.  Thanks.

Hi

I've tried installing ASTAssistant-Linux.tar.gz but when I run it I see this error:  "This application was built with a demo version of REALbasic which has expired"

There appears to be no later (beta) version for Linux.

I am running the latest beta and still having these same issues.  It says in the previous post that this would be resolved but I'm not seeing that.Is this my setup or is this still an outstanding bug?

We have a location that has 3 Asterisk PBX's.  1st box extensions 600-620. 2nd box extensions 700-710. 3rd box extensions 800-840. They are all connected with IAX trunks over high speed DSL lines.
The customer wants the ability to have one reception console that can manage calls to all 3 extension ranges.  For example. Reception is extension 600. She is running AST and wants to see the 600, 700 and 800 extensions in the console allowing her to manage calls to all the extensions. Parking. Transfers. See the phone status.
Is there a way for AST Assistant to do this?
Thanks.

I have been playing around with ASTAssistant and would like to implement it into our call-center infrastructure. However we need to be able to change states to (E-mail, Break, Lunch, Restroom ETC). This would very helpful in keeping track of who is doing what and would also help in pulling reports of these states in our PBX or vTiger. Is this functionality possible?

Thanks and Regards,
Collin

Thanks for taking the time to reply Yank_prk.

I still cannot get this to work. I am using X-Lite and am wondering if this is the issue? The call comes in and ASTAssistant sees the call in the queue etc but no Pop-up. Have all the settings exactly as your pic and using ##NUMBER## but still nothing.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest?

Thanks,
Mick
